I've been working on so many changes to my food blog for this year. Yet another change would be to do GIVEAWAYS for my awesome followers!
So, for my very first giveaway, I wanted to give one very lucky person something special for Valentine's Day.
Two of my most FAVORITE things to have on Valentine's Day are 1.) Sheffield Sparkling Cider and 2.) Florence's Chocolates! So those are the two things I'll be sharing with one of you!!
Scheffield Cider makes the absolute BEST sparkling cider I have ever tasted! The lucky winner gets to choose one of their four varieties: Cherry Cider, Classic Sweet, Harvest Crush, or Vintage Dry. Check out their website for descriptions and details of each variety.
Okay, now for the rules...the winner must:
- be a follower of ALL THINGS DELICIOUS,
- like the ALL THINGS DELICIOUS Facebook page,
- live in the 48 contiguous United States, and
- leave me a comment below telling me your favorite thing to make on Valentine's Day
This giveaway will close on Wednesday, February 1st at 10pm MST. I want to make sure my winner gets these prizes in time for Valentine's Day! The winner will be announced the morning of Thursday, February 2nd.
Good luck, everyone!!!
My husband and I dont do much for Valentines Day, usually because we dont have the extra cash. So the past few years I have been trying to make a good dinner with dessert! The kids get soo excited when i make dessert! Last year I made meatloaf, mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, salad, and brownies for dessert! This year I am not sure. But possible one of your recipes. I get tired of eating the same thing so i have tried 3 of your recipes already and have been pleased. And they r affordable to make so bonus!
ReplyDeleteMy all time favorite thing to make on valentines day is a red velvet cake with Cream cheese frosting!! It is my favorite cake of all time.
ReplyDeleteMy absolute favorite thing to make on Valentine's Day is chocolate covered strawberries. My girls get a big kick out of setting the table up, complete with candles and pretty dishes for dinner. Then we celebrate with chocolate covered strawberries for dessert!
ReplyDeleteI used to make fresh strawberry pie every year til I found this Hersheys' Chocolate Chip Cheesecake recipe! It is THE most delish I have eaten. My hubby says it's his favorite cheesecake. We look forward to it every year!

ReplyDeleteI haven't established a tradition yet, but I do love doing a chocolate fondue platter on Valentine's Day with a delicious steak dinner for my husband.
ReplyDeleteSince we have 4 birthdays to celebrate all around Valentine's day, I try to stay away from making sweets. Instead, I make our traditional seafood medley dinner. Complete with each kiddos' favorite seafood prepared the way they like. =) After all, Valentine's Day isn't just about that romantic night with your husband/wife/partner, it's about family and the ones who love you the most. =)
ReplyDeleteIt's Jacie's fault I'm here so if I win, I'll share with her...maybe.
ReplyDeleteI always make pink heart-shaped pancakes on Valentine's Day. I want my kids to know I loved them first and I love them best (for now). They have to start the day out right.
We make fun heart shaped or red items for dinner. No specific plans yet... waiting to see what you will share! ;)
ReplyDeleteI love baking mint tea brownies (chocolate brownie base, pink mint frosting next, then a chocolate ganache on top).
ReplyDeleteWe have a tradition to spend Valentines day with our kids. I make lobster tails, baked potatoes, some type of vegetable, homemade rolls and either heart shaped brownies with choc syrup and vanilla ice cream or cupcakes with pink frosting and fun sprinkles!! I decorate the table for them with a fun table cloth, confetti and fun valentine place matts.
ReplyDeleteI love making my husband a steak dinner with baked potatoes. That is probably his favorite meal.
ReplyDeleteI usually make lasagna, cheesy bread and salad for Valentines day dinner. We always have our young children with us so we don't get to go out for the holiday. Looking forward to checking out this new blog of yours. Thx
ReplyDeleteI like to make heart-shaped mini-pizzas for Valentine's day. I am not a great cook but the kids love the effort.
ReplyDeleteI like to make iced sugar cookies with my son. <3
ReplyDeleteThis will be the 2nd Valentine's Day with my boyfriend and while I'll tell you my favorite thing to make is the dessert - I'm thinking cheesecake this year!! - His favorite is the dinner I make! This year I kind of want to try either a sirloin steak or maybe a flank; since we live in So Cal I'll probably be able to grill them! :)
ReplyDeleteI love to make red heart shaped pancakes in the morning. Add a little coconut syrup, and that makes our morning great!
ReplyDeleteI love making cards and coupons for my boyfriend. Usually he 'cashes' in the 1/2 hr massage very quickly, or the back scratch. Other than that, it is the one day that I don't want to make any food or dessert, that is his day to suprise me !!!!

I don't have any Valentines day traditions, but maybe this year will be the start!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I love to cook together on Valentine's Day! We normally do steak and some vegetables!
ReplyDeleteIt is a tradition to make chocolate mayonnaise cake in our house! The most moist cake you will ever eat.
ReplyDeletehow fun! My husband LOVES Florences chocolates and grew up in Rexburg! This summer we met Florence, what a sweet lady! I'd love to give him his favorite thing in the world for Valentine's Day! Your sight is amazing!!
ReplyDeleteI try to make my hubby something that he loves but doesn't get except maybe twice the whole year and that is Ruby Grapefruit....pretty simple but yummy and lasts days in the frig. Its grapefruit peeled and sectioned like an orange only with no inside skin and then mixed with whole raspberries from our garden and some mashed to make a yummy ruby colored sauce. Very time consuming to make, hence my gift to him. (The kids love it too.)
ReplyDeleteI love to make a special dinner and dessert. Something that we've had or seen that we'e been wanting to try. It's got to be new and challenging otherwise it's just like a regular day. Then we get in our jammies and watch a cute Valentine's Day movie with the kids.
ReplyDeleteSo happy that I "stumbled" upon your blog. I have to say I'm a bit envious that you don't make the same thing but once or twice a year. I've been in a rut and don't like to make the same thing over and over. Our kids are very picky and it drives me crazy! We tried the Swiss Chicken and we really liked it. Like you said it was easy because the chicken didn't need to be precooked. Thanks for all you do!
For Valentine's Day, I love to help Aiden make heart-shaped cookies and let him decorate them. Then we go give them out to our friends. Love your blog!
ReplyDeleteWhen the kids were little, my favorite thing to make was their school valentines! Customized for their current interests. Now, it's a special dessert we pick out that sounds decadent and delicious.
ReplyDeleteI make some kind of cookie every year. Some for my hubby and some for my co-workers.
ReplyDeleteValentines day is my hubby's birthday, but we usually end up celebrating at home since we have two little kiddos! My favorites are the special treats like red velvet cupcakes and white chocolate covered strawberries. :) Excited already!
ReplyDeleteMy husband is the chef in our family. He always makes something delish! Last year was chicken stuffed with mozzarella, spinach, and mushrooms. It was rolled in prosciutto and topped with homemade pesto! Not bad for a man whose a vegetarian!!!
ReplyDeleteDifferent each year, but everything is homemade with love :)
ReplyDeleteI follow your blog via GFC and "like" you on Facebook. My favorite things to make for Valentine's Day are Chocolate Eclair Cake and a handmade card for my sweetie. Thank you so much for offering such a lovely and generous giveaway. :)

My kids look forward to my gigantic 12 inch heart cookies, either chocolate with pink mint frosting, or sugar cookies to top the day off.
ReplyDeleteI don't need a whole lot. Don't really need a gift. I just want some good chocolates (read Ghiradelli) and to go out for dinner with the hubby. Somewhere I can dress up a bit. Doesn't have to be too fancy. Chocolates for my chocolate stash and somewhere I can have a nice meal with wine.
ReplyDeleteLeading up to that night, I love to make heart shaped cookies or cupcakes with/for the kiddos.

ReplyDeleteThis will be my second Valentines Day with my love, but our first real one. We spent last Valentines Day leaving the hospital after we had a major hip surgery. We spent the day after as our actual Valentines Day and his dad and mom cooked us dinner and then left and went to a movie so we could have some alone time! It was so sweet but I am looking forward to having a nice dinner without him in a wheelchair this year! Happy Valentines Day!
ReplyDeleteI will try not to rain on everyones parade...lol..I actually broke up with my fiance in August, we had actually gotten engaged on valentines day so it was always a expieramental day for us (at least me in the kitchen). I was always for the past 7 years making something speacial from the main dinner to dessert. And always trying to find the right drink...just trying to make the day special. This year will be with my nieces and will be dinner, dessert and crafts...will definatly be my best valentines ever! Love my nieces and what better way to spend a day of love then with kids who exsude true unconditional love!
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog and I love it! This year for valentines I will be making a pork loin in a cinnamon and rasin reduction. It is so delicious!
ReplyDeleteI'm a NEW follower, I'm don't just like ATD, I LOVE it! My favorite thing to make on Valentine's Day is our traditional french toast, strawberries 'n cream syrup and then we always do a crab cake, steak dinner with grilled artichokes and squash. YUM!
